DC² Events
DC Squared is committed to putting on four annual events, one per quarter. These events center on small-business development and entrepreneurship in our neighborhood. In addition to that, we have several smaller events throughout the year, including block parties and markets to increase food access in the Northeast corridor.
General Events
The Fest (spring)
Previous “Porch Fest,” The Fest is a day of small-venue concerts that take place on stoops, porches, and in the parking lots of your favorite local businesses. It’s a day to celebrate the arts through music, and talent is sourced from across the local musicians of the DC area.
NorthEast Summer Nights (Summer)
A weekly pop-up event that takes place over the span of 5 weeks. Aimed at bringing the community together while supporting local businesses, the event will have multiple locations throughout the 5-week period.
Art All Night (Fall)
This multidisciplinary artistic experience is a way to bring creatives and audiences together for a night celebrating all aspects of the performing and visual arts. Up and down the Rhode Island Avenue and Bladensburg Road main streets, businesses will be hosting entertainment and exhibitions to showcase the diverse portfolio of the arts in our community.
The Procrastinators Holiday Market (Winter)
This last-minute market is a one-stop shop to finish your holiday gift shopping just in time. Local artisans gather together to bring the community one of a kind items. With the variety of vendors and goods, you’re sure to find something for everyone on your list.
